I recently visited a certain website and was initially baffled by the title of an article: “Preventing and Surviving Suicide.”

Had I been the editor, I would have suggested changing the title to: “Preventing Suicide and Surviving Suicide Loss.” Yes, that title is longer, but after reading the article, I think my suggestion would have been a better choice. A person could survive a suicide attempt, but I’ve never heard of anyone surviving suicide.
