Why yes, I do edit the tweets and comments I post on Twitter and Facebook. However, sometimes I don’t edit them enough before hitting share or enter. That’s when I delete the posts and rewrite them.
 

Why? Well, one of my goals is to publish my work on e-book publishing and distribution platforms, such as Smashwords and PubIt!. If my short tweets and comments are riddled with errors, no prospective reader is going to look at my longer works.
 

And yes, many authors do post their unedited works online. I’m not one of those authors. True, I’m an editor, as well as a writer; I edit other writers’ works really well. I’m also confident that I could edit a short article or essay of mine well enough to post it online. But I could never do a final edit of my own novel or novella.
